3. Basic information of the visit

With the approval of the provincial government (Yuzheng chuwairen Zi [2019] No. 1268), Li Bingjun and Chen Zhen of Henan Agricultural University went to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke to participate in the international academic conference.

On the morning of November 10, 2019, the delegation set out from Guangzhou and arrived in Raleigh via New York. It stayed in Pembroke that night. From November 11 to 14, 2019, the delegation participated in the report and discussion of the "2019 International Symposium on disaster risk analysis and big data" (draw2019). On November 15, 2019, the delegation set out from Raleigh via Detroit and arrived in Beijing on the afternoon of November 16 and Zhengzhou in the evening.

"2019 International Symposium on disaster risk analysis and big data" is jointly held by the school of management engineering of Nanjing University of information technology and the University of North Carolina Pembroke. The theme of this conference is to discuss the theory and practice of disaster risk analysis based on big data analysis technology and management science methods, and provide suggestions for scientific disaster reduction and human sustainable development. Dozens of experts and scholars from North Carolina State University, Texas State University, University of North Carolina Pembroke, National Climate Center of China, Peking University, Nanjing University of information engineering, Northwest University, Xi'an University of technology, North China Electric Power University and Henan Agricultural University attended the meeting.

4. Harvest and experience

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Professor David ward, vice president of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, made a speech and extended a warm welcome to the delegates from all over the world. We hope to take this conference as an opportunity to promote the contact and cooperation between the participating universities and scientific research institutions and the relevant colleges of the University of North Carolina, and jointly promote international talent training, teacher exchange, scientific research cooperation, etc., so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

During the conference, experts and scholars from participating countries conducted nearly 20 high-level academic reports around the theme of the conference, covering meteorological disaster emergency management, disaster risk scientific assessment, agricultural disaster and insurance management, intelligent clustering algorithm of disaster data, simulation analysis of energy saving and emission reduction of new energy vehicles, research on big data algorithm of disaster management and other related fields. The participants also conducted a number of exchanges and discussions around the theme of the conference and cutting-edge scientific issues, actively promoted scientific research in the field of disaster risk analysis and big data, gathered a lot of consensus, and achieved positive results.

Through discussion and exchange, the members of the delegation expanded their academic horizons and reached a further exchange and cooperation intention with scholars from many universities and scientific research institutions, which is conducive to further improving the research level of management science and Engineering in our university.

5. Suggestions

Through in-depth exchanges with scholars of many universities and scientific research institutions, there are many scientific research references in the construction of discipline team and the cultivation of discipline backbone. The introduction of team talents should be directional, which can help to refine the team direction and improve the research level; More opportunities for exchange and learning, especially for international exchanges, will be given to the backbone of the discipline, so as to create more opportunities for cooperation with high-level scientific research teams, so as to better expand the vision of scientific research and improve the level of research.

6. Matters need to be tracked and implemented in the later stage

(1) Continue to strengthen the contact with the school of management engineering, Nanjing University of information technology, and strive for more cooperation and exchanges.

(2) Strengthen the communication with scholars at home and abroad, and invite them to our hospital for exchange.
