Report on the visit of wangchenyang, Ma Dongyun, Xie Yingxin and hanqiaoxia of Henan Agricultural University to Australia

1、 Actual date of visit

December 18, 2019 to December 23, 2019

2、 Basic information of visiting

With the approval of the provincial government, a delegation of four members, Wang Chenyang (researcher), Ma Dongyun (researcher), Xie Yingxin (associate researcher), hanqiaoxia (associate researcher), went to Canberra federal organization for scientific and Industrial Research (CSIRO) in Canberra, Australia, from December 18, 2019 to december23,2019.

The first day, on the morning of December 18, 2019, I took the flight from Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou to Sydney, Australia (Kingsford Smith Airport), and arrived in Sydney at 9:00 on December 18, local time, and then took a bus to the Sydney Boulevard Hotel.

The next day, on December 19, local time, I took a team rental car to CSIRO in Canberra to meet with researcher Zhigan Zhao.

On the third day, on December 20, local time, Dr. Zhigan Zhao and Dr. Zhigan Zhao conducted a cross flow with Dr. Zhigan Zhao in the discovery center conference room of CSIRO on the agricultural status, fertilization mode, application of accurate prediction in agriculture, and the current research content, methods and future research directions of precision agriculture; The cooperation research on the effects of main stress (drought and freezing damage) on Wheat Yield and quality was also discussed. Then go to large temperature control room to visit and learn about the management mode, use rules and operation flow of the temperature control room.

On the fourth day, on December 21, local time, I met with researcher Qi Liu to exchange the current research status, future research trends and research strategies of wheat quality, to discuss the research on wheat oil and the influence of oil on wheat food, including bread, noodles, pastry, etc., and to carry out cooperation research on wheat quality in the future; Then I went to the laboratory to visit and study to understand the current laboratory related quality analysis instrument model, usage method, measurement index, etc.

On the 5th day, on the morning of December 22, local time, I went to CSIRO agricultural test field, visited and studied the use of NDT instruments, data collection, field management, etc., and visited the agricultural facilities for learning. Take a bus to Sydney in the afternoon and check in to the Sydney Boulevard Hotel.

On the sixth day, return, on December 23, local time, depart from Sydney (Kingsford Smith Airport) at 11 a.m., arrive at Baiyun Airport at 17:40 local time, and return to Zhengzhou at 23:55 p.m. on the afternoon of that day, and finish the visit and complete the mission successfully.

3、 Main achievements and gains

Through this visit, exchange and study, we have established close scientific research cooperation with experts in the field such as Zhigan Zhao researcher, Qi Liu researcher and Zhongyi Li researcher; The effects of stress on wheat growth and development, and how to construct accurate models for predicting wheat growth and development under different environmental conditions based on genotype, environment and wheat growth and development characteristics, application and verification of the model, and exchange on the topics of scientific research and cooperation in scientific research; The author has conducted in-depth exchanges with researchers Qi Liu on wheat processing quality, nutritional quality, and future oil on wheat food quality and nutritional quality, and exchanged views on possible cooperation in the future. Visited CSIRO temperature control room, phenotype identification room and quality laboratory, and learned advanced management experience and practice of the laboratory.

The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) is the largest national research institution in Australia. A large number of fields such as wheat breeding, stress, quality research, precision agriculture and so on are gathered

International top scholars have improved their academic vision through meeting and exchange with top international experts. More importantly, they have learned new research methods and broadened their research ideas from advanced scientific research abroad. Through exchange of visits and learning, the mature experience and advanced technology abroad, combined with their own research reality, are transformed into relevant research topics.
